Meet Duchess
Joyce El is a passionate community activist and a visionary who helps individuals find hope and helps them to come to self-realization through faith and patience.
Joyce aims to minister God’s Word in Action within her community. Her compassion for others gave her the name “Duchess” in her community. She travels worldwide to conduct seminars and speaking engagements and was appointed as a Goodwill Ambassador by the World Humanitarian Organization for Peace and Equality in December of 2022.
In October 2010, the inspiration known as “Journey’s by Grace” was born. Journeys By Grace Global Missions, Inc. has since expanded its efforts across the globe and broadened its mission efforts. What started as a single mission trip has grown into an annual international humanitarian mission trip, accompanied by year-round initiatives, domestic trips, and global partnerships.
Rather than providing a band-aid to real and ever-present issues, JBG aims to provide ongoing support to those it touches, though follow-up resources and life skills training, to allow those in need to sustain themselves. Journey's By Grace Global Missions is about the human experience, treating people as such, and humanizing those that are often ignored.

Heart of a Missionary
Heart of a Missionary received 2nd place in the category of Humanitarian Short Films 2023 at the Cannes Film Festival. Heart of a Missionary was in the final 10 films at the Black Art Film Festival 2023. Mark A. Giles, videographer received Best Documentary 2022 for Heart of a Missionary.
TV Segment
Founder, Joyce, is an executive producer and host on the television segment “The Heart of a Missionary,” available on the Roku channel. The segment is in partnership with Matriarch Now, a JBG mission partner.
